Consultancy

Supporting consultancy firms is a growing market for us, as with our support, clients continue to win large and strategic contracts across Government and the wider public sector. We find their tenders really interesting as they are often challenging projects that are fast moving and involve creative solutions. They particularly require high levels of collaboration with our clients’ teams.
Consultancy Case Studies
We supported a client’s tender to the Government’s Restoration and Renewal Programme to define a management approach for the construction works.
We assigned two writers to the tender, working with the client’s subject matter experts to ensure there was a common understanding of the Buyer’s specification, and identify the most appropriate evidence. We were able to demonstrate the client’s significant experience, offer detailed CVs of consultants of the right calibre, providing the Buyer with the best value offer.
This resulted in a win for our client of this prestigious contract.
We supported a client with preparation of a tender to the Office of Rail and Road (ORR) to undertake an independent assessment of Network Rail’s capability and capacity to deliver a successful procurement strategy.
Having spent time assessing the ORR’s and Network Rail’s specification, we assigned two writers to work with the client to understand their solution and where they could evidence past relevant experience that demonstrated their capability and capacity. This project had tight deadlines and so we agreed a plan in advance that set clear milestones for our team and our client.
“Kittle Group’s knowledge of procurement rules and public sector procurement is second to none. They rapidly understand the requirements of each bid and hold us to account to ensure each question is answered with the aim of scoring 100%. They are able to distil complex information into very clear and well considered messages. Kittle’s ability to understand our business and their unerring attention to detail has made them invaluable to us.” – Nichols Group (Strategic Consultancy), COO.
This was a successful project and resulted in the client being awarded the contract by the ORR.
We were commissioned by a consortium of three consultancies to support a tender to DEFRA to define long- and short-lists of potential targets against which the new OEP could measure DEFRA’s performance against a new climate change strategy. This new body would then report directly to Parliament with progress.
For the tender, our writer worked with all three consortium members to understand their solution to meet DEFRA’s requirements and offer best value. Having drafted the responses, all three consortium members undertook reviews, and our writer then assessed compatibility between each reviewer’s comments to agree a final position for the bid.
This was a successful project for the consortium.
We were commissioned by a consortium of two consultancies to assist with the preparation of a tender to the Ministry of Defence to find and deliver the Army £2bn of savings over 10 years. We assigned two senior writers to this project who worked alongside the clients’ teams to draft and review responses in parallel to the solution being refined. Topics covered in the bid included an overall methodology to identifying, assessing and delivering the savings, a detailed approach to two complex scenarios, details of the delivery team, and how the clients would use the contract to deliver social value.
This was a successful project for the clients, resulting in a 5-year contract valued at £20m.
