A Tier 1 construction company was bidding into National Grid’s TGGUP, which will build £4.5bn worth of network infrastructure by 2030. Joining the framework was a core strategic objective for the client, and the bid was, therefore, a ‘must-win’.

An experienced Kittle writer, already seconded to the client, supported their in-house bidding team. We collaborated with their subject matter experts to produce two responses, on the client’s methodology for building a fictional substation and their supply chain strategy.

We offered flexibility around experts’ busy work schedules, progressing responses through independent research and collateral mapping when there was minimal availability. This meant timescales did not slip and bid progress went ahead to schedule.

Our client was successful on the bid, joining TGGUP and securing the contract worth £4.5bn. Our support was described as ‘invaluable’.
