Logistics

We have enjoyed significant success in logistics, particularly within the aviation sector, supporting tenders for conveyancing systems, systems maintenance, and IT infrastructure. One logistics engineering client won over £5bn of work with Heathrow Airport.
Logistics Case Studies
Over the last 4 years, we have supported a client with several tenders to design, develop, manufacture, install, test, and commission new baggage handling systems, for Heathrow Airport.
The construction of large baggage halls, on both brown and green field sites and in a live airport environment, were challenging features of this project. We worked closely with our client’s technical team of project managers, designers, health and safety advisers, IT specialists, and operators to fully understand their solution. We then presented the client’s innovative solutions to address the challenges in a way that would capture the evaluator’s attention and give confidence in the client’s capability, capacity, and experience to deliver.
These tenders were successful for our client and led to contract wins valued at over £6 billion over the course of 4 years. We additionally supported this client to bid for comparable contracts with 10 other regional airports, many of which were also successful.
We supported our client in a bid to Heathrow Airport to create an integrated IT system that drew data from all aspects of airport baggage operations – from systems operated by the airport, airlines, and ground handling agents. This was to create a super-system that could be used to analyse performance data across the baggage handling operations including airline check-in processes, the conveyancing systems, and ground handling agents.
This was a highly technical bid that demanded detailed understanding of IT systems, and their development, because of the need to integrate the client’s proposed solution with other system operated by stakeholders. The project also required a good understanding of security controls given the sensitive information that would be captured and used by the parties.
Our client was the lead in a Joint Venture with three other organisations. This required expertise on our part in working across different businesses to collate the information while being mindful to protect the integrity of their Intellectual Property Rights.
This tender was successful for the client and their JV partners, winning this prestigious contract with Heathrow Airport.
A team of our writers supported our client on a business-to-business proposal to British Airways for the design and installation of a new and innovative conveyancing system to support its growing parcel and post business.
British Airways had a good understanding of the outcomes it wanted to achieve but was looking for bidders to bring their expertise and innovation, allowing flexibility to propose the optimal solution in terms of functionality and cost. Our client was excited at this prospect. We, therefore, worked alongside their design, research, and development personnel to capture their ideas that formed their solution to BA.
This was a highly successful project for the client, submitting a high-quality proposal to BA that qualified them for the next stage of the competition.
