Employing our staff

Kittle Group is different from most other bid writing companies as we directly employ our writers. This allows us to create a collaborative team that is fully invested in our business and focused on winning work for our clients.

We use a testing recruitment process that assesses a range of competencies critical to successful bid writing, including an ability to assimilate complex and unfamiliar information quickly, manage their time effectively, and the ability to write content that is clear, engaging, and succinct.

Once they join us, our writers undergo a 3-month initial training programme of classroom-based learning and mentoring with 1:1 support from one of our Senior Writers. This ensures they quickly  become effective bid writers. Thereafter, we provide continuous personal development, including weekly presentations, roundtable discussions, and workshops.

Employing our writers also means the bidding process becomes more and more efficient for clients. As writers get to know their business and build a library of material, they are able to prepare responses increasingly efficiently.

Creating strong long-term relationships

Experience shows us how successful bids require strong collaborative relationships between the client and our writers, and consistent communication. Establishing a partnership is a priority for us. How we do it:

  • Appoint a lead writer who is a main point of contact throughout the project
  • Agree a project plan to optimise use of their time while meeting critical deadlines
  • Involve the client throughout the process
  • Keep them informed of progress, with daily update reports.

We tailor our approach for each bid to ensure it is suitable for the particular project – amending, adapting, and adding steps to produce the best results.
